Senior Engineer – Digital Appliance R&D (Cooktops / ranges, MWO, Laundry, Dish washer, Refrigerator Freezer) represents Samsung within Regulatory Agencies, Universities, Industry groups and Open Innovation partners, leads Technology sensing and monitoring IP activities by competition, provides patentable novel innovation ideas and concepts to sustain Samsung’s technology leadership. This position also is responsible for reactive aspects of product safety and failure analysis and field quality in identifying potential safety risk areas and develop testing methodology to assess safety risk and propose robustness solutions.
Leads and conducts research on technology trends and standards.
- This role conducts complex high-level technical analysis of customer requirements and creates, evaluates, and develops implementation concepts / approaches to meet customer requirements.
- Conducts complex high-level analysis / evaluation of various technical implementation approaches including internal, and external competitive alternatives.
This role is responsible for identifying performance improvements and enhancements to improve the product's competitive position in the industry, where problems and issues are numerous, typically undefined and where information is difficult to obtain.
Has practical experience in technical leadership and management techniques.
Proactively engages with the external environment for a lookout of possible new knowledge / Intelligence and in developing and representing strategic company position
