What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Shop Floor Associate- 1st Shift position at Samsung Electronics America?
Position Summary
- Understand the status of issues such as production capability of the local manufacturing factory, KPI (Key Performance Indicators), material loss, etc. on a regular basis, and respond to it immediately.
- Identify ideas regarding new manufacturing technology, methodology development and site improvement, and contribute to standardizing them in the related business organizations(subsidiaries and etc.) with transversal approach.
- Establish training plans such as responding to new models, work improvement, quality improvement, etc. and provide support for spreading them to the related manufacturing site.
- [Manufacturing KPI monitoring management] Support identifying the worst items of loss and KPI, and supporting enhancement of poor status.
- [Production capability] Support calculating production capability on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis based on the planned quantity.
- [Quality issue management] Support quality operation, repairing, training, standard electrostatic management, and quality system improvement.
- [Best practice management] Support identifying best practices, developing new methodology, and standardizing them in the related business organizations with transversal approach.
- All other duties as assigned
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous manufacturing shop floor experience preferred.
- Acquires and applies job skills and learns the company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks that are routine/semi-routine in nature.
