Samsung’s Networks business is a leader in providing cloud-native 4G and 5G networking products to mobile service providers around the world. The Networks Strategy, Business Development, & Marketing team supports the success of our US business with customer and market analysis, marketing communications, and partnership execution.
The intern will work in the Plano, Texas office with our Marketing and Strategy team to help with marketing programs, strategy evaluations, and research mobile operator network performance. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience into all facets of marketing and strategy and will provide access to Samsung executives.

Role And Responsibilities

The Networks Strategy, Business Development, & Marketing team supports the success of our US business with customer and market analysis, marketing communications, and partnership execution.

Key Responsibilities:
- Help to develop and execute marketing programs that drive growth of the company’s products by working with product managers, sales teams, corporate communications teams, and other departments to ensure successful implementation of product launch events
- Analyze mobile operator network performance by supplier and identify Samsung impact
- Research implementation status of 5G use cases in the US and globally and develop strategy for helping operators to monetize network investments
- Evaluate current digital and social media strategy and recommend enhancements based on industry best practices
- Analyze mobile operator quarterly earnings and identify key takeaways for senior leadership
Qualifications:
- Education: Currently pursuing MBA. Undergrad in electrical engineering, telecom engineering, or computer science would be preferred
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with cellular mobile terminology – eg, 4G/5G, Radio Access Network, …
- Comfortable doing quantitative and qualitative assessments (research, financial statements, other data)
- Very strong Excel and Power Point skills
- Quantitative strategic analysis of large data sets
- Understanding of US mobile market – network operators, 5G use cases and marketing
- High comfort level reading and understanding market research reports from financial and industry analysts as well as technical documentation
- Creative approach to developing marketing messages in support of Samsung Networks business
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
