Position Summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor (SAS) is one of the most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities worldwide. Owned by Samsung Electronics Corporation Ltd., SAS is the global company’s sole LSI semiconductor manufacturing facility located outside of Korea. SAS manufactures logic components for digital services, personal computers, mobile phones, workstations and servers. Since 1997, SAS has been at the forefront of manufacturing technology, enabling the world's digital devices to operate at the highest performance.
SAS is seeking a highly driven candidate to join the Device Operations team. As a Device SPC Program Manager, the individual will be responsible to optimize ET (Electrical Test) SPC disposition process to improve SPC quality and reliability while also increasing throughput and efficiency. A deep understanding of Statistics Process Control (SPC) and working knowledge of device physics and process is required for this position, plus basic knowledge in DC/Electrical Test, Reliability and Design for Manufacturing.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible to improve ET SPC efficiency and quality. Innovate and develop new solutions to protect water quality without affecting throughput.
  • Lead/Participate in Task Force Teams to solve systematic SPC related issues. Actively seek opportunities to improve SPC systematics.
  • Support WAT Acceptance Electrical Test (WAT) management for one or more Customer Accounts/Products from New Product Introduction (NPI) Stage thru Mass Production.
  • Clearly communicate ideas or opinions thru written reports and oral presentations to both engineering executive levels.
  • Generate written reports and oral presentations for Yield Enhancement execs.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Science or Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Chemical, Material Science, or related areas) required.
  • 2 years working experience required in semiconductor industry.
  • SPC/WAT experience preferred, knowledge of Parametric test and Device physics is required.
