Role Overview

This Manager, Distribution Sales, East Region role reports to the Director, Distribution Sales, East supporting the distribution sales team. This position will build and grow the distribution of Samsung Lennox HVAC sales within the region and develop new prospects. The primary responsibility will be to drive daily interaction with existing customers to increase sales and foster growth within the distribution of Samsung Lennox HVAC products within the HVAC marketplace.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for selling and promoting Samsung Lennox HVAC’s products, requiring knowledge of HVAC systems. Educate distributors, contractors and owners (occasionally) with regard to the functions, applications and benefits of the Samsung Lennox HVAC product line. Will also be responsible for working with other regional team members to foster growth throughout the team.

Additional Role Scope

  • Analyzes records of present and past sales, trends, and costs, estimated and realized revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred to interpret accounts, trends, and records and report to management
  • Responsible for achieving sales targets and increasing market share of Mini splits and residential VRF
  • Selects the correct products or assist customers in making product selections based on customers' needs, product specifications, and applicable regulations, or any additional incentives
  • Assists with and conducts mini-split and VRF training to contractors across assigned geographical region
  • Establish customer relationships to ensure high post-sales satisfaction to ensure repeat business with customers
  • Will coach and mentor sales representatives on value added selling of Samsung Lennox splits and VRF systems

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required with 5 years sales experience (preferably in the HVAC industry) with sales quota responsibility
  • HVAC License & Certifications preferred
  • Must have previous distribution channel experience, Variant Refrigerant Flow (VRF) and ductless system experience to demonstrate understanding of product offerings and to think through product support that benefits the Distributor
  • Computer software programs proficiency including MS Office (Word, Excel) preferred
  • Must have deep comfort building PowerPoint presentations and presenting in front of key internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and execute business processes
  • Strong personnel management skills and experience
  • This field based role requires the ability to travel up to 75% to include overnight stays as needed
  • Individual must possess a valid driver's license in good standing
  • Familiarity / experience with CRM is preferred
  • Requires strong abilities with building relationships, listening, persuading, negotiating and managing time
  • Requires knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
  • Knows principles and processes for providing customer service (this includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction Effective at written and verbal communication)
  • The ability to lift, move, or adjust general office equipment, boxes, or materials weighing up to 50 pounds using proper materials handling equipment and procedures
