We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced R&D system engineer to join our new
Imaging R&D lab in Danvers, Massachusetts at Boston Imaging, a subsidiary of Samsung
Electronics Co. Ltd. The successful candidates will be responsible for conducting research
and development in the field of medical ultrasound system and signal / image processing
innovations.
The R&D system engineer will be involved in the design and development of new imaging
technologies and algorithms, as well as the improvement of existing ones. They will work
closely with Imaging R&D Team in Samsung Medison Headquarters (HQ), Seoul, and will
be expected to contribute to the development of new technologies in a timely manner.

of ultrasound beamforming, image formation and signal processing to develop new
adaptive ultrasound imaging / signal processing algorithms for S / W-based system.
implementation skills and deep understanding of the structure and design of image
processing software and algorithms, and be able to analyze and optimize their
performance, especially for Ultrasound B-mode, Flow, CEUS, and 3D / 4D imaging.
competency or experience in parallelized computation pipelines through GPGPU and
CUDA.
understanding of the signal path and imaging chain in medical ultrasound systems, and
be able to troubleshoot and optimize their performance. In addition, the successful
candidate should have understanding of case variation and user preference and have
problem-solving skills based on the ultrasound signal path and image processing
expertise.
