Senior Manager, Content & Platform Quality Control - Samsung TV Plus

DESCRIPTION :

The Samsung global services team is responsible for driving Smart TV and mobile services businesses by building intelligent, integrated, cross-platform services that delight and entertain users.

Samsung TV Plus is Samsung’s direct-to-consumer OTT video service featuring ad-supported linear channels and ad-supported VOD. In the US, TV Plus launched in April 2018 and is currently available on 2016-25 model Samsung Smart TVs, featured refrigerators and most Galaxy mobile devices.

As the Senior Manager of Content & Platform Quality Control within the Global Operations team, you will be responsible for leading content QC teams across multiple regions while developing QoE / QoS platform standards.

Under your direction, the QC teams will be responsible for ensuring all content on the TV Plus platform meets or exceeds our high-quality standards. This position will work closely with our various operation and engineering teams to develop tools that will implement the quality strategies that best meet the needs of our rapidly growing and changing FAST landscape. This is currently a hybrid in office / remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Lead a global team of passionate QC specialists, driving consistency, unity, and flexibility across eight TV Plus regions
• Manage relationships with local and overseas operations teams, to align on processes, shared templates, and short-term projects.
• Develop, maintain and adapt QC scenarios to meet the needs of a constantly evolving consumer electronics landscape.
• Use a mix of manual and technical testing skills to execute a variety of QA techniques across consumer products.
• Verify fixes are implemented correctly throughout platform product cycle in both consumer and development environments
• Develop platform QoE / QoS modeling frameworks while working with engineering teams to define tool requirements for operationalization on a global scale.
