Roles and Responsibilities :
Provide expertise and ownership for GCS Control Systems, safety and quality standards, and improvements for those systems. Interact with operations team, construction teams, and equipment vendors. Effective communication and coordination with Engineers and Technicians to provide technical support, electrical issue resolution, and collaboration for improved safety, quality, and system reliability. Controls equipment monitoring and management, including sustaining operations, maintenance, and process & equipment improvements. Develop innovative projects focused on improving the reliability and operation of PLC / SCADA systems. Develop site standards and Functional Descriptions to ensure GCS PLC / SCADA systems meet GCS requirements. Evaluate process requirements and specifications of new gas and chemical delivery systems as they relate to Industrial Control Systems. Act as the "Visionary" for GCS Control Systems. Understand the current state of GCS Control Systems and help determine the path forward for future improvement. Coordinate with International vendors and Korean HQ to ensure Controls design packages meet GCS requirements for quality, reliability, safety and production. Perform Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing, as needed, to support the installation and commissioning process for automated equipment. Skills and Qualifications :
Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required :
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered.
Requires 24 months of experience involving the following :
- Test / verification plan creation;
- Microcontroller / PLC logic design;
- Monitoring and debugging test failures;
- Defect monitoring, characterization, and root cause analysis; and
- Reviewing equipment designs.
