The Samuel and Althea Stroum Jewish Community Center is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable boating experience for our campers. To achieve this goal, we need a dedicated and experienced Camp Waterfront Supervisor to lead our aquatic programs. Key responsibilities include enforcing waterfront safety protocols, creating engaging boating activities, and working collaboratively with the Camp Director and Aquatics Director to deliver high-quality programs.
Your Key Responsibilities:
As a Camp Waterfront Supervisor, you will be responsible for cautioning participants about safe and unsafe behaviors, rescuing participants in distress, and performing routine waterfront maintenance tasks. You will also work closely with team members to organize supplies, communicate effectively, and adapt activities to meet the needs of our diverse camper population. In addition, you will share recommendations with the Camp Director and Aquatics Director on an ongoing basis and act as a positive ambassador for the SJCC both inside and outside of the center.
Requirements:
We seek a highly motivated and qualified individual who possesses current certifications in CPR/AED and First Aid, experience working with children (a plus!), and a Waterfront Lifeguard Certification. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service are essential qualities for this role.
