About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Custodian at the Samuel and Althea Stroum Jewish Community Center. As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of our premises for members and guests. You will be responsible for performing various tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, emptying trash, and maintaining restrooms.
Key responsibilities include setting up and breaking down rooms as assigned for meetings and classes, cleaning and maintaining outdoor spaces, performing light-duty repairs, painting, and construction, opening and closing the building depending on scheduled shifts, and reporting issues to the maintenance manager.
To succeed in this role, you should have some relevant work experience and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, communicate effectively with community center members and colleagues.
