Camp Waterfront Supervisor
Maintain a safe boating environment for campers and staff by enforcing waterfront safety protocols.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enforce safety protocol, caution participants on safe vs. unsafe behaviors, and report concerns to the Camp Director or Aquatics Director.
- Rescue participants in danger of drowning, administer first-aid/CPR if required.
- Create and implement boating activities tailored to camper ages and abilities.
- Inspect facilities, perform regular waterfront maintenance, and work with team members to organize supplies and equipment.
- Communicate regularly with J Camp staff team and Aquatics Director.
- Share recommendations with Camp Director and Aquatics Director.
- Represent SJCC positively both within and outside the center.
- FOLLOW all emergency procedures at SJCC.
- Work weekends and evenings as needed.
To be successful as a Camp Waterfront Supervisor, you should have:
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certification for adults/infants/children through an approved body.
- Experience working with children (preferred).
- Current Waterfront Lifeguard Certification through an approved certifying body.
- Openness to learning.
