Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of Camp Counselors, Specialists, and Junior Coordinators in designated program areas.
- Create and implement camp schedules, ensuring a balanced and engaging experience for campers.
- Provide regular feedback and coaching to team members, promoting growth and development.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for campers and staff, responding promptly to any incidents or issues that arise.
- Review camper health forms and share relevant information with the appropriate staff, while maintaining confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively with parents, either by phone or in person, as needed.
- Support the emotional and social wellbeing of campers through positive behavior management and supportive interactions.
- Foster open communication among the J Camp staff team, both verbally and in writing.
- Manage financial aspects of their designated camp area.
- Inform the Camp Director of any concerns or issues that arise with campers, staff, parents, or community members.
