Key Responsibilities :
- Comprehensive Patient Care : Conduct thorough evaluations and manage treatment plans for patients with complex gastrointestinal disorders, such as IBD, liver disease, and GI cancers.
- Collaborative Care : Work alongside a dedicated team of gastroenterologists, surgeons, and other specialists to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Procedural Involvement : Assist in performing, and where appropriate, independently perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as endoscopies, biopsies, and other gastroenterology interventions.
- Patient and Family Education : Provide education and support to patients and their families about their diagnosis, treatment options, and lifestyle adjustments to promote long-term health and well-being.
- Research Engagement : Contribute to clinical research initiatives, stay up to date on the latest advancements in gastroenterology, and collaborate on the development of new treatment protocols.
- Quality Improvement : Participate in quality improvement efforts and work to ensure compliance with best practices and hospital protocols.
