Specific Responsibilities:
- Support for customers throughout the central eastern US (MI, OH, TN, KY)
- Commissioning and integration of AMR systems at client facilities throughout North America; including travel to customer facilities for on-site deployment and integration with other automated and simple equipment.
- AMR map modifications and improvements of software logic using 3rd party systems and PLC logic
- Optimizing system performance through analysis, simulation, and experimentation.
- Communicating project status and technical details to the customer and project team.
- Delivery of training to end users
- Troubleshooting software & hardware technical issues with internal and external teams
- Ability to travel for business within North America.
Additional responsibilities:
- Documenting product and process changes from lessons learned on site
- Working with the AMR System Integration team to improve tools and solutions
- Support technical set up for customer demonstrations and trade shows.
- Track and record all expenses such as job costs and travel
- Ensure that all activities are performed with highest ethical standards and in compliance with RAMP and Samuel business policies
- Adhere to both internal and customer site health and safety rules and procedures
Qualifications
- Strong people skills and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and written
- 3 years of experience commissioning & integrating industrial automated equipment or software that interfaces to the equipment
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally. A passport and valid driver's license are required.
Education:
- College/University diploma or degree in an engineering, design, or industrial controls pr related field
Experience:
- Experience working directly with clients/end-users
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical systems/subsystems
- Interpretation and analysis of mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
- PLC design and integration experience including experience with various Controls platforms (i.e. Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, Omron etc.)
- Self-motivated and organized with attention to detail
- Experience with AMR/AGV systems integration
- Training users of automated equipment/software
