Manual & Automatic Spinning Lathe Operator Personal Protective Equipment:

- Manual Spinning vs Automatic Spinning Manual spinning is a professional craft whereby the lathe operator manually shapes each part by applying pressure to the material utilizing a combination of upper body strength, lower body leverage, and special forming tools; generally between 6 and 9ft. in length.
- Automatic spinning is a professional craft much like manual spinning; however, the lathe operator uses a PNC or CNC machine to form the parts.
- Once the automatic machine is programmed, there is little to no manual shaping required.
General Descriptions:
- Operators are utilized throughout our manufacturing process to build product for our customers.
- Operators normally work independently; however, depending upon the work schedule assignments can often change from general cleaning, painting, sorting parts, etc.
- Whether working as a team or independently normal daily tasks will require the Operator to lift variable weights, bend, twist, use basic hand tools, push or pull and think safety on every task.
- Due to the nature of the job, operators continuously shift body weight, hand location, and grip reducing static posture positioning.
- Continuously working to improve our safety culture is critical to our business model and continual growth.
- We routinely review and upgrade our processes to reflect the latest available safety technology, including the use of manually/automatic operated hoists, cranes, carts, forklifts, tables and other devices to reduce the potential for repetitive related injuries.
