Responsibilities:
- Inventory Controls: Oversee inventory management processes and ensure effective controls are implemented.
- Cost Accounting: Gather manufacturing processes and develop standards for a new ERP implementation.
- Payroll Reconciliations: Ensure payroll reconciliations are accurate and timely.
- Direct Material Purchases Reconciliation: Reconcile direct material purchases to ensure financial accuracy.
- Month-End Close: Lead and oversee the month-end closing process, including accruals and adjusting journal entries.
- Internal & External Audits: Manage relationships with internal and external auditors, ensuring compliance with all required standards.
- Financial Reporting: Apply accounting principles to various business activities such as Revenue Recognition, Inventory, CAPEX, AP accruals, and Cost Accounting.
- Year-End Physical Inventory: Lead the year-end physical inventory process.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 5 to 7 accounting professionals, including accountants, senior accountants, and clerks.
- Software Management: Navigate and manage multiple accounting systems and software.
- Change Management: Lead efforts to drive change and accountability in inventory, purchasing, and accounting practices.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years’ experience of accounting, particularly in manufacturing and costing.
- Certifications: CPA or CMA designation are required.
- Management Experience: Proven ability to manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
- Hands-On Attitude: A self-starter with a can-do attitude who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- ERP Implementation: Experience with ERP system implementations, especially in manufacturing, is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with various accounting software and financial management systems.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to drive change and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Communication Skills: The ability to communicate accounting concepts clearly to non-financial staff and provide guidance on accounting principles.
The annual base salary range for this position is $104,800 - $144,100. If you are hired, your annual base pay will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base pay range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued wage growth.
