As a key member of the Samuel Automation Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in driving the technological evolution of our organization. Your leadership will shape and execute strategic initiatives that enhance innovation and the integration of enabling technologies across all business units. Your efforts will contribute to Samuel Automation's continued growth, both organically and through acquisitions, by ensuring we remain at the forefront of industrial automation and smart manufacturing.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Serve as a core member of the Samuel ASG Leadership Team, collaborating with leaders to develop a technology roadmap that aligns with our strategic growth objectives.
- Lead initiatives in automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies, identifying and implementing innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency, improve customer experience, and create competitive advantages in our markets.
- Work closely with business unit leaders to drive the adoption of new technologies.
- Partner with the President to assess new market opportunities and define investment needs for technology-driven growth initiatives.
- Lead the standardization and optimization of tools to help new customers create functional requirements when automation is new and strategy unclear.
- Mentor and develop a team of technology and innovation specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and forward-thinking problem-solving.
- Represent ASG at industry events, trade shows, and customer engagements to position our organization as a leader in automation and smart manufacturing.

Level of Autonomy and Authority
- Operates with significant autonomy, driving key technology initiatives and making strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Provides oversight and management of direct reports, including hiring, performance management, and mentorship.
- Contributes to high-level decision-making regarding technology investments, process improvements, and automation strategies.
Key Requirements
- University degree in an engineering or business-related discipline preferred;
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the automation, industrial technology, or manufacturing sector, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated expertise in implementing automation strategies and emerging technologies.
- Ability to travel locally and internationally, with availability for travel up to two weeks at a time.
- Valid passport and driver’s license required.
