Electrician

Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all electrical modifications and repairs performed following lock-out tag out procedures. 
• Leads in the troubleshooting and maintaining of PLC programs being utilized on our process equipment.
• Maintain all Electrical Schematic Drawings up to date.
• Coordinates activities of outside services in the maintenance and servicing of all equipment, machines and cranes.
• Responsible for development and maintenance of our Control Systems.
• Prepares reports as necessary.
• Oversees Company's preventative maintenance program (electrically).
• Coordinates requisitions of parts and supplies.
• Coordinates all safety aspects of electrical systems.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned

General:

• Complies with the designated ISO/TS16949 responsibilities, environmental management system, health & safety and company rules and guidelines.
• Ensures company safety policies are adhered to, and safe work habits are utilized by all department personnel and visitors.
• Wears personal protective equipment (PPE), as required, at all times.
• Maintains a high standard of general housekeeping consistent with 5S standards.
• Strives for continuous improvement.

Position Qualifications:

• Certified Industrial Electrician with 3-5 years’ experience in an industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of control systems.
• Familiar with PLC, with some experience in programming.
• Knowledge of induction heat treat and painting processes for equipment preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
• Experience with routine maintenance operations.
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of safe operating procedures.
• Self-starter, with developed analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Computer literate required, along with accountability, analytical thinking, problem solving skills, and risk management.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
• Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders.
• Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• May be required to work overtime, nights, weeks, and be on-call.
• Often exposed to sounds and noise levels that are uncomfortable and distracting.
• May be exposed to contaminants.
• May be exposed to hazardous conditions, equipment, and situations.
• May be exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures.
