SUMMARY & SCOPE:
Performs preventive maintenance, assigned project work, and emergency repairs by adhering to pre-operational checklists. Maintains records and assures that each line and all major equipment are operating at the safest and most efficient levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Respond to maintenance needs in a timely manner.
· Follow and reinforce established safety protocol, including machine lockout tag out.
· Troubleshoot issues and participate in root cause analysis.
· Identify and resolve recurring maintenance issues.
· Solicit feedback from machine operators to assist in the diagnosis of issues.
· Coordinate activities with other maintenance staff members as needed.
· Fabricate fixtures or hardware in support of equipment modifications.
· Install and set up new equipment.
· Assist or direct preventative maintenance activities.
· Assist or direct changeover activities as needed.
· All other duties as assigned.
· Maintains reports and documents of maintenance activities.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
· Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process and QMS/EMS.
· Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and Quality/Environmental system.
· Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
· Verify the implementation of solutions.
· Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. (For EMS, mitigate harm to the environment through containment and other emergency action.)
· Represent the needs of the customer in internal functions in addressing quality & legal requirements.
· Able to read electrical schematics, Two or more years of Maintenance experience and/or Industrial Maintenance Training, High school diploma or equivalent, Electrical skills in single and three phase systems PLC, and Motor controls, Ability to trouble shoot Pneumatic and Hydraulics systems, Ability to read and interpret blue prints and schematics, Ability to work multiple shifts as needed.
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:
· All prescribed trade tools – testing, safety and lifting equipment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
· Lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, on a regular basis.
· Work in confined spaces and at heights, utilizing appropriate safety equipment.
· Bend, stoop, and reach to access equipment and perform repairs.
