Responsibilities
- Configure, program (small modifications) and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controls (PLC).
- Provide programming and electrical support on production equipment
- Implement control systems software upgrade.
- Provide instrumentation, PLC, HMI/SCADA and hardware support to plant maintenance staff.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance for controls and organize electrical/control parts inventory.
- Maintain and troubleshoot industrial instruments such as: transmitters, PLC systems, meters, analyzers, automatic valves, etc.
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment (<480V).
- Read and Maintain P&IDs and Schematic wiring diagrams in compliance with SOP’s, QA, and MOC policies. Identifying and resolving chronic (bad actors) or longer term (threats) instrumentation asset concerns. Assist in turnaround planning and cost estimation of instrumentation work. Identify and implement new technologies and specify new instrument systems.
- Assess equipment performance data and ensure optimal and efficient performance.
- Provide on-site or remote assistance and direction to plant or contract personnel to ensure safe and effective work.
- Drive resolution of highest impact issues with a strong sense of urgency and integrity.
Skills
- Good knowledge on controllers (PLC, HMI, VFD, Automation and controllers)
- Good knowledge on electrical systems (480 Volts)
- Good knowledge on lock out tags out procedures and OSHAS regulations.
- Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline AND 5 years of applicable experience in PLC software and hardware troubleshooting and/or PC-based HMI-systems, or
- High School Diploma/ GED AND 5 years of applicable experience in PLC software and hardware troubleshooting and/or PLC-based HMI-systems
- Associate degree or Engineering Technology Degree in, or Instrumentation/Electronics and minimum of 5 years of experience in the maintenance of instrumentation systems and equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Working Conditions
- This position works in a manufacturing environment.
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment in all weather conditions.
- Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally
- Bend, twist, climb, squat, kneel throughout shift Able to work in extreme heat or cold conditions.
- Ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, changing work environment.
- Use hands for simple and power grasping as well as push/pull and fine manipulation
- Work at and/or below shoulder level
- See fine detail in printed product along with checking for color accuracy
The annual base salary range for this position is $79,288 - $109,021. If you are hired, your annual base pay will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base pay range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued wage growth.
