- MARKET RESEARCH: Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitor pricing, and customer demand to understand the competitive landscape.
- DATA ANALYSIS: Utilize data analysis tools to interpret sales data, identify pricing patterns, and assess the impact of price changes on revenue and margins.
- CONTROLS: Monitor sales order prices, update price lists, and research/correct deviations.
- MANAGEMENT PRESENTATIONS: Prepare and present weekly, monthly and quarterly pricing fluctuation analysis and profitability impacts. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate pricing recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams.
- PRICING MODELING: Create and maintain pricing models to simulate different pricing scenarios and forecast potential revenue impacts.
- FINANCIAL PLANNING: provide data and analysis to build forecast, budgets, and long range forecasts
- BUSINESS DECISION SUPPORT: Review all proposals and measure adequate profitability and volume trade off. Develop and implement pricing strategies based on market insights, including tiered pricing, value-based pricing, and promotional pricing.
- COST ANALYSIS: Understand Bills of Materials (BOMs), costs, and profit margins. Measure actual pricing performance vs estimate/quoted prices. Evaluate the costs associated with producing and distributing products to determine profitable price points.
- TEAM: Develop and guide the activities related to pricing.
- RELATIONSHIPS: Build strong working relationships with all internal stakeholders (sales, operations, purchasing) and interface with customers when necessary.
- SPECIAL PROJECTS: Undertake any other special projects as deemed necessary.
- Minimum 3 to 5 yrs of experience required within manufacturing and sales
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, statistics, or a related field
- Experience in market research, data analysis, or business analysis
- Knowledge of pricing theory and practices
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Experience with ERP systems and proficient in the use of various software programs.
- Knowledge of EPICs and Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations is an asset.
- Strong Proficiency in data analysis software (Excel, Tableau, SQL) and pricing optimization tools
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Deep understanding of the industry, market dynamics, and customer behavior.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, along with exceptional modeling capabilities.
- Sharp business acumen and the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- A solid self-starter and collaborator who understands and can articulate key drivers of the business, prioritizes efforts and resources to drive results.
