Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breast Sonographer to join the Breast Center team at our non-profit hospital. You will play a critical role in supporting patient care by performing a variety of breast ultrasound procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity. You will be improving the patient experience by responding to any patient’s special, physical, emotional, and/or age-specific related needs. Responsibilities
- Perform quality breast ultrasound exams with the appropriate technical skills and according to the established procedure protocols.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Utilize appropriate ultrasound equipment and techniques to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret ultrasound results and provide relevant information for patient care.
- Maintain accurate records of all procedures performed, including patient history and imaging results.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols to minimize risks during examinations.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography practices and participate in continuing education as required.
Experience
- Successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist or Sonographer program.
- ARDMS registered or registry eligible for breast boards. Eligible candidates must obtain certification within one year of hire date.
- One year of breast sonography experience preferred.
- Experience working in a hospital environment highly preferred.
- CPR Certified.
