What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fish Cutter (Filleter) position at Samuels & Son Seafood C?
The ideal candidate must possess excellent knife skills and have a background in fish cutting or meat butchering. A general knowledge of Fish and Seafood products is preferred.
Functions include, but not limited to the following:
- Ensuring proper quality and standards of all supplies.
- Cleaning, cutting, slicing, and filleting fish and stocking seafood supplies.
- Understanding the specific requirement of clients.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the work area, cutting knives and equipment.
- Minimizing wastage while cutting fresh fish products.
- Deliver to the requirements of the chefs in restaurants.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment.
- Must be willing to work overnight shifts.
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
This position reports to the Processing Manager, Warehouse Manager and Operations Manager. The ideal candidate must have a strong sense of urgency and deadline driven. Must possess outstanding attention to detail and very organized. This position will be based at our Warehouse Site located at- 2215 Tradeport Drive, Orlando, FL 32824.
