What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager position at San Angel Cocina & Cantina?
Assistant manager Duties:
- Effectively address customer service needs and employee needs
- Help manager develop strategies for increased sales, work flow, day to day operations
- Fill in on general manager off days and make executive decisions when necessary
- Develop and maintain excellent customer relations
- Effectively manage and assist GM with budget, payroll, and tracking sales and sales trends
- Assist GM and staff when needed for restaurant efficiency and oversee restaurant efficiency from ordering processes to kitchen efficiency, etc.
- Assist GM with scheduling for kitchen and cashiers
- Track the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual objectives
- Evaluate employee performance and identify hiring and training needs
- Coach and support new and existing sales associates
- Assist GM with accounts payable and receivable as needed
- Assist GM and analyze and interpret data and reports such as revenue, expenses and trends in market place for growth
- Ensure all employees adhere to company policies and guidelines
- Assist GM with inventory, tracking and product purchasing
- Ensure all opening and closing duties are being met
- Assist GM with maintaining quality of food and measures to maintain quality
- Effectively communicate needs, expectations, etc. to employees and upper management
- Effect manage and assist GM in day to day operations to ensure a steady flow of your restaurant
- Assist and communicate with GM in obtaining products, inventory and ALL restaurant needs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
