Primary Purpose: Perform the surgical procurement of donated human corneas and ocular tissue that enhances and improves lives globally through transplantation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: May perform all or some of the following and operate in accordance with our stated operating procedures while upholding our corporate values and mission.
Cornea Recovery:
- Aseptically procure donate human corneas and ocular tissue from organ donors following standard operating procedures.
- Draw blood from cornea donors and recover medical records from hospitals to assist with medical eligibility for transplant.
- Accept on-call responsibilities for cornea and ocular tissue recovery as scheduled.
Team Support and Maintenance:
- Performs other duties as needed or assigned in office, quality control and training.
- Maintains documentation in-process for cornea recovery as required, updating records at each step in the process.
- Maintains confidentiality of donor-related information.

Education and Experience:
- Combination of education and relevant experience is preferred
- High attention to detail and ability to problem solve

Not a problem! We will provide on-the-job training to give you the skills and knowledge needed to become an Eye Recovery Technician! All we ask of you is that:
- Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant experience required
- Your previous work experience demonstrates that you can collaborate with others on a team, have a strong attention to detail, and can communicate effectively (written, verbal, etc.) within a professional work environment.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and confidentiality.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
