Position Summary
Assist in the attainment of district goals by maintaining an efficient textbook accountability, distribution, and
recovery process.
Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities
1. Request, distribute and verify State adopted textbooks, per District policy and procedures, under the
supervision of campus principal and District Textbook Coordinator.
2. Distribute, assign, and collect books, manuals and supplies to/from students and teachers, including
students transferring in/out of campus.
3. Recover, consolidate, and return all surplus State adopted textbooks and teacher manuals as requested
by the District Textbook Coordinator.
4. Conduct annual physical audit/inventory of all State adopted textbooks, per District policy and
procedures, including payment collection for all lost or damaged books/materials.
5. Submit purchase orders for new textbooks and teacher manuals.
6. Assist with the preparation, use and care of instructional materials, textbooks, audio-visual aids, bulletin
boards as needed.
7. Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities
expected for this position.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional
- 2 years of general clerical experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficient skills in organization, typing, file maintenance, computers, software programs, including word
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as a member of a team to provide assistance to students.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions with limited supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills; proficiency in basic computer software, including MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines; communicates clearly and concisely; both orally and in writing
- Some knowledge of library catalog system; use of office machines; accurate keyboarding skills; and filing

- Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions/deadlines; frequent sitting,
