Responsibilities

- Perform medical imaging tasks, including X-rays, while following safety guidelines.
- Manage patient records using Open Dental software, ensuring accurate documentation of treatments and appointments.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans and provide education on oral hygiene practices.
- Take vital signs as needed and assist in monitoring patients' comfort during procedures.
- Support the dental receptionist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow when necessary.
- Keep the dental operatory clean and organized, ensuring all equipment is properly sterilized.
Skills
- Proficient in dental assisting techniques with a strong understanding of dental terminology.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control measures in a clinical setting.
- Experience with coding related to dental procedures is a plus.
- Familiarity with Open Dental or similar dental practice management software.
