Overview:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelors degree in nursing or other health related field.
Experience: Previous leadership and/or management experience. Minimum of three years’ Labor & Delivery nursing experience or five years Maternity experience in an acute-care hospital.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and written. Able to work in a fast pace environment, able to work in a team environment and manage/prioritize/complete work assignments.
License/Certifications: A current California RN license, current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card required. Basic Fetal monitoring required upon hire. Advanced Fetal Monitoring required within 3 months of hire and biennial renewal. Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 3 months of hire and biennial renewal. ANCC Inpatient OB or Maternal Newborn Nursing Certification preferred.
Equipment: Basic knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel. General knowledge of unit specific equipment.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.

The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
JOB SUMMARY
The role encompasses 24 hour direct responsibility for the supervision and management of designated nursing units that provide direct and indirect patient care for an age specific population.
