Overview
JOB SUMMARY
Primarily responsible for providing acute patient care in a safe and effective manner in the Ambulatory Care unit from admission to discharge, including phase II recovery and infusion of various transfusion products; including but not limited to blood products, remicade, IVIG etc. Additional responsibilities include directing the unlicensed employee’s activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching of patients/family, implementation of treatment plan/MD orders, and documentation and evaluation.
- Collaboration with health care team, patient and family to coordinate patient care delivery.
- Participation in ongoing feedback related to self, individual, unit and organizational performance improvement.
- Integration of patient care standards and protocols into personal practice and assisting other RN’s.
- Completion of patient care assignments and documentation, asking for and offering assistance as appropriate and delegating as appropriate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: See License and Certifications.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as an RN in an acute care hospital.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Able to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment; effectively managing, prioritizing and delegating patient care and completing work assignments and other duties, as assigned. Demonstrate knowledge of common disease process, treatment modalities and interventions. Have above average computer skills.
License and Certifications: Current active California Registered Nurse license, American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS and Current American Heart Association (AHA) PALS or obtain within 3 months of hire/transfer.
Equipment: Computers, monitors, printer, fax, photocopier, pneumatic tube system, Omnicell, telephone, IV pump.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical job requirements.
PAY RANGE
$46.50 - $68.39
The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
