The Talent Academy Associate program is a transformative 1 to 2-year cohort program designed to invest in the next generation of sports and entertainment professionals. The program aims to grow well-rounded individuals who are equipped with a strong foundation in professional skills, industry knowledge, and a commitment to Impact. Throughout the program, Associates will get a behind-the-scenes look at the business operations for NBA and USL franchises, as well as professional event management. Associates will be assigned to specific business units tailored to their areas of interest, experience, academic achievements, and aligned with organizational needs.

Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate a variety of corporate contracts.
- Conduct legal research regarding industry/regulatory issues and/or concerns and provide summaries of findings.
- Obtain knowledge of organizational developments and communicate relevant updates to legal team
- Assist in intellectual property protection efforts
- Coordinate input from organizational departments on a diverse set of matters
- Monitor, track and assist with drafting and reviewing internal and external contracts.
- Draft cease and desist letters and other outside communications.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Recent graduate (0-2 years) from an accredited law school
- License to practice and bar membership in good standing (or, if graduating law school in 2024, eligible for bar membership and scheduled to take bar examination in summer of 2024)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point, LexisNexis and other computer skills required.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.
- Strong teamwork aptitude required.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Strong good oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks.
- The ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- The ability to spend time in office 50% of time
