San Bernardino Community College District accepts applications for Student Worker, hourly positions for our two college campuses (San Bernardino Valley College and Crafton Hills College) on a continuous basis. However, this does not imply the department is actively recruiting for this position. If there is an interest and/or need within the specific department, applicants who meet the requirements will be contacted by the respective department manager.  Environment: Work is performed primarily in a standard office setting.

 Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight up to 25 pounds; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

 Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents; and to operate assigned equipment.

The University Transfer & Career Center (UTCC) is looking for motivated students that have an interest in helping students make the transition to university and/or Career.

Summary Description
Â
- Greet students at front desk of UTCC and making student appointments
- Redirecting phone calls
- Assist with the creation and posting of flyers for events and workshops
- Help the office with filing
- Inform students of UTCC events and activities (through multiple mediums i.e. Flyers, Posters, Video, and social media, classroom announcements)
- Assist with set-up and clean-up of all UTCC events
- Other job duties as needed
- Student must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 units.
- Must have completed at least 12 units at CHC, have a major declared, and a minimum 2.0 GPA
- Must complete a tb test at time of employment
- Participate in UTCC training (dates and times TBA)

Desired Qualifications
- Participation in one past UTCC, workshop, event and/or activity or COUN 110 Â or COUN 130 course
- Participate in UTCC training
- Attend scheduled Staff meetings as necessary
- When requested wear a UTCC uniform
- Have an interest in helping other students to learn more about transfer and career services
