What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enterprise Business Systems Analyst position at San Bernardino County?
Enterprise Business Systems Analysts are Business Project leads who are experts in:
- Mentoring team members in systems analysis and software initiatives, which may involve selecting third-party software or developing custom-built application solutions following standard Software Development Life Cycles.
- Identifying business requirements that deliver value to customers, taking into consideration project budget, scalability, business continuity, standard practices, licensing, county policies, cross-department regulations, and potential impacts to countywide infrastructure.
- Implementing industry standard methodologies and internal procedures in the planning, execution and service delivery of project deliverables utilizing project and service management best practices that take into consideration multi department requirements, security, and data recovery.
- Managing the effort to implement solutions that enhance data sharing across departments, promoting collaborative infrastructure and providing geographic context for countywide strategic initiatives and decision-making.
- Providing subject matter expertise when collaborating with technical and business personnel across all departments in the maintenance and support of hardware and software, along with the interactivity and interfaces between those businesses and applications.

Availability: Incumbents may occasionally work evening and weekend hours. Some overtime, on-call, or call back work may be required.
Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required and employees will be required to make provisions for such transportation.

- A Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration, or a closely related field.
- Experience managing IT projects in a project leadership role.
- Strong understanding of business processes and ability to align IT systems with business objectives.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking to assess needs and propose innovative solutions.
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate discussions between technical and non-technical teams.
- Candidates with experience working in an enterprise information technology environment and infrastructures are strongly encouraged to apply.
