The Department of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS), Children and Family Services (CFS), and Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) are recruiting for Supervising Social Workers who oversee social workers engaged in providing a broad range of social services to individuals to enhance their capacity for social functioning. Travel: Travel throughout the State may be required and employees will be required to make provisions for such transportation.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience performing professional social work duties equivalent to a Social Worker II in San Bernardino County.
-AND-
Education: Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed college coursework, half of which must be upper division, in behavioral science, psychology, social work, sociology, human services, behavioral anthropology, gerontology, cultural and gender studies, or human development.
Note: Social Worker II Trainee experience is not considered qualifying and must be clearly distinguished from journey-level Social Worker II experience in the work experience section of your application.
Be sure to clearly describe in your application your experience in meeting the minimum requirements as well as the ideal qualifications, particularly experience as follows:
- Experience as a social worker in an agency serving the elderly, adults with disabilities, children, and families.
- Experience providing supervision/training/mentoring.
- Experience on committees, work groups, or serving as a liaison coordinating services with other agencies, particularly in a leadership capacity.
