• Expertise in current best practices and emerging trends in Early Childhood Education and Child Development, with a strong emphasis on outdoor classroom experiences and play-based learning.• Skilled in designing, developing, and implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate curricula that support diverse learning styles and foster cognitive, social, and emotional growth in young children.• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse faculty, staff, and students from various socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including those with differing academic preparation and learning abilities. Experience in lab school environments.• Knowledge of Title 5 and Title 22 regulations, state-funded programs (CSPP, CCTR), San Diego County Office of Education policies, Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS), San Diego Quality Preschool Initiative (SDQPI), and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation standards.• Proficiency in accurate record-keeping, assessment methods, and comprehensive documentation practices.• Thorough understanding of health, safety, and nutritional requirements for preschool-aged children.
