Job Summary
The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for an Executive Director, Learning and Leadership position for the Learning and Leadership Services division. The Executive Director for Learning & Leadership Services (LLS) is the senior leadership role responsible for supporting the Assistant Superintendent and administrative unit in effectively managing the division's operations, logistics, and strategic priorities; ensures seamless execution of mission critical responsibilities, enabling the division to achieve its goals and serve districts, schools, and educational communities effectively with excellence. The Executive Director will provide leadership, coordination, and operational support for division-wide initiatives, partnerships, and projects.
This position will foster collaboration, build leadership capacity, manage resources, and drive strategic efforts in support of SDCOE's North Star; the Executive Director ensures the division remains aligned with its student-centered mission to enhance equitable learning and leadership outcomes for educators, students and their families.

Requirements / Qualifications
This position requires the following Education and Experience and Credentials :
Education and Experience :
Education : Master's degree in education, educational administration or related field. Doctoral degree in related field preferred; and ,
Experience : Five (5) years of recent professional level experience involving directing and coor-dinating the activities of educational leadership in a CA public school, district or other large public agency including supervisory experience. Minimum of three (3) years at a district or COE leading systems improvement work.
Equivalency : Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a master's degree in education, educational administration or job-related area, doctoral degree in related field preferred, and five (5) years of recent professional level experience involving directing and coordinating the activities of educational leadership in a CA public school, district or other large public agency including supervisory experience. Minimum of three (3) years at a district or COE leading systems improvement work.
Credentials :
- Valid California Administrative Services Credential
- Valid California Teaching Credential
