HEAD EQUIPMENT MANAGER

SUMMARY:
The Head Equipment Manager for San Diego FC will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of equipment management and operations to ensure the team’s success both on and off the field. Primary responsibilities will include managing inventory, organizing equipment, and servicing players and coaching staff with their daily kit and equipment needs for training, matches and travel.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Reporting to Director, Football Operations, the primary duties and responsibilities will be:
- Work with the Director, Football Operations in creating and managing the annual equipment budget.
- Manage and maintain the inventory platform of all team hard and soft goods, including match kit, training gear, field equipment and other accessories.
- Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure accurate ordering, competitive pricing and timely delivery of equipment.
- Ensure all kit and equipment is correctly crested and embellished with logos, names, numbers and commercial partner marks according to team and league guidelines.
- Manage the distribution of equipment and uniforms as needed, ensuring all players and staff are equipped with their respective gear needs for training, travel and matches.
- Ensure the equipment areas and storage room are maintained to the highest standards of organization and cleanliness.
- Maintain the look, cleanliness and organization of the first team player and staff locker rooms ensuring that all daily kit, provisions and toiletries are provided.
- Plan, implement and execute a packing strategy for all team travel.
- Oversee the daily laundry processes.
- Assist coaching staff in the field setup, transition and breakdown for practices and matches.
- Adhere to league regulations and guidelines regarding equipment standards and safety.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates can meet the requirements with a combination of experience in the following areas:
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a similar role within MLS or in a professional soccer team preferred
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- Must have a high level of communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of soccer equipment and apparel brands
- Must be able to work successfully in a fast-paced and pressure filled environment
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
- Customer service oriented

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
