Position Summary:
San Diego FC is seeking a dynamic Marketing and Analytics Manager who – in collaboration with both Marketing & Business Intelligence – will optimize the club’s marketing systems, tools, and data analytics. Reporting to both marketing & BI leads, this role ensures the efficient and effective strategy of customer segmentation as the club builds its diverse fan base.
This position combines strong marketing knowledge with technical data expertise, requiring strong analytical skills, proficiency in relevant software, and a solid foundation in marketing strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities Marketing
- Drive efficiencies through CRM, email, marketing automation, and analytics platforms
- Ensure that marketing tools and systems are properly configured, integrated, and maintained for seamless data capture and reporting.
- Build and maintain customer personas, ensuring marketing efforts resonate with target audiences.
- Evaluate and implement new processes and technologies to improve capabilities and efficiency; lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new marketing tools.
- Data Analytics and Performance Tracking
- Assist San Diego FC Business Strategy and Analytics group in reporting and analysis of data related to ticket sales and service, ticket pricing strategy, CRM, and digital marketing efforts.
- Support CRM manager in identification and creation of key customer populations for use in CRM outreach initiatives.
- Implement lead forms directly on paid media platforms to send directly to CRM
- Maximize current technology to meet fans’ rising standard for communication and engagement
- Monitor performance data, identify trends, and optimize campaign performance to enhance effectiveness and improve KPIs (ROI, engagement, conversion rates, etc.)
- Automated welcome campaigns to jumpstart fan journey by streamlining data flows
- Develop campaigns, triggered flows, and promotions that deliver against revenue, conversion, engagement, and retention goals
Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in product marketing
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Strong understanding of marketing analytics and experience with tools such as
- Google Analytics, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize competing initiatives.
- Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive, data-driven, and results-oriented mindset.
- Passion for sports and familiarity with soccer is a plus
