Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee general operations of printing and transfer production equipment
- Manage schedules to maintain on-time delivery
- Establish priority and schedule work for the various phases of print production
- Create Purchase Orders and receive inventory for Printing department
- Order and maintain inventory of fabric stock, ink, chemicals and other supplies
- Perform weekly inventory cycle counts
- Work with Upper Management and Process Improvement Team on assigned tasks and be open to feedback and requests to improve or modify processes
- Work with upstream and downstream Supervisors to ensure work is completed and passed of as scheduled
- Assure proper maintenance and scheduling of planned maintenance or repair of department equipment
- Ensure all safety protocols and preventative maintenance processes are being followed in department
- Monitor print quality and environmental factors, like humidity and temperature, that may impact equipment performance
- Accomplishes printing human resource objectives by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, consulting Print Manager as needed
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player
- Be adaptable and flexible with work hours
- Ability to work overtime as the needs of business require
- 3 to 5 years experience in a leadership role
- Customer Service focused with the ability to build and maintain strong working internal and external relationships
- Train, supervise and evaluate personnel
- Operate equipment utilized in printing
- People centric leadership experience and focus
- Understanding of computer systems, email, chat and basic ERP software
- Familiarity with Color Management and RIP software a plus
- Familiarity with Netsuite a plus
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred
- 3 to 5 years of experience in print production preferred but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs or more, using team lift
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours with periodic breaks
- Ability to safely and successfully perform physical job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68,640.00 per year
