Overview:
The pay rate for this position is $28.00 to $31.50 per hour and is non-negotiable.

Under general supervision, provides day-to-day administration of a program, and/or performs a variety of administrative, technical and analytical work of limited to moderate complexity related to primarily operations and procedures. Requires working knowledge of general practices, program and/or administrative specialty as well as budget policies and procedures. Assignments require the use of independent judgment to make decisions, interpret and apply a wide range of policies and procedures related to the program area and/or administrative specialty; follows standard procedures and practices; will resolve a wide range of administrative problems related to day-to-day work based on precedents. Work is primarily focused on own assignments and projects with limited innovation, but some ingenuity may be used to meet new needs.

Incumbents at this level serve primarily as independent contributors where assignments require handling of multiple work priorities and accountability for own work results, however duties may include overseeing clerical operations and providing lead direction to support staff.

Responsibilities:
Job duties (95%)
  • Administer day-to-day operations of a program or administrative area.
  • Perform administrative, technical, and analytical tasks.
  • Interpret and apply a wide range of policies and procedures.
  • Use independent judgment to resolve administrative issues and make decisions.
  • Assist with budget-related tasks following established guidelines.
  • Manage multiple work priorities and ensure accountability for results.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices or programs.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  • 3-years
    of progressively responsible experience in an office or administrative environment
