HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSIONThe Contracts & Litigation Coordinator performs a variety of tasks to support the General Counsel and other Legal, Risk & Compliance departmental staff. This position reports to the Director of Contracts Administration.WHAT YOU WILL DO
Process and track contracts and various documents for legal review through document execution.
Track department operating and litigation budgets, including forecasting.
Develop and implement organizational and departmental policies and procedures, generate departmental/office reports, files, and systems as required.
Assist with pending claims and litigation matters.
Organize, compose, and maintain specialized records and documents.
Conduct basic legal research.
Draft sensitive correspondence and basic legal documents.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORJOB EXPERIENCE
Two years of work experience as a legal assistant or in a related field or equivalent specialized training required.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate preferred or equivalent work experience preferred.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of basic legal terminology.
Exercise tact and discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Able to operate moderately complex computer software programs.
Work with teams and effectively with others in a diverse environment.
Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of Legal Tracker, PowerPlan, and Financial Edge or equivalent preferred.
