What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safari Experiences Program Aide - Part Time - San Diego Zoo Safari Park position at San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance?
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSIONThe Safari Experiences Program Aide provides operational support for Safari Experiences programs and provides great customer service to program participants. The Program Aide also operates, inspects, and assigns tour vehicles. This position reports to the Safari Experiences Supervisor.WHAT YOU WILL DO
Provides operational support for Safari Experiences programs by ensuring guides and guests connect in a timely manner.
Operates organization vehicles/carts to transport late guests or provide replacement carts to guides.
Provides excellent customer service to program participants by checking them in for tours, providing safety information, and answering questions.
Cleans and inspects tour vehicles and reports damage in a timely manner.
Prepares and ensures availability of program materials.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FORThe ideal candidate will provide excellent guest service, is dedicated to teamwork, and can work independently. Bilingual applicants are desirable.
JOB EXPERIENCE
Prior customer service experience is preferred.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
Current valid California Driver’s License in good standing.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Demonstrated ability to handle complex guest interactions.
Ability to manage internal and external customer interactions with a high level of tact and diplomacy.
Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Work effectively with others as part of a diverse team environment.
