Requirements / Qualifications
Academic Coach
Academic Coaches have a specialized talent and skill such as dance, speech and debate, robotics, cheer sideline, and other club sport / activity. Our Academic Coaches work with middle school or high school students across the District sites.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS :
Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge and interest in the coaching area.
Can work collaboratively in a school environment with students and teachers.
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills with students and teachers.
Have reliable and consistent means of communication and transportation.
Coaches may be required to lift, push, pull, or carry supplies and classroom furniture weighing up to 40 lbs. Must also bend, twist, reach, stand, and / or sit for extended periods of time.
Comments and Other Information
Employment with SDUHSD is contingent upon successful post-offer background check, fingerprinting, physical exam including tuberculosis, drug and alcohol screening, and an Oath of Allegiance. Please note that our agency receives Federal funding and must adhere to Federal regulations.
