What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Instructional Assistant - Special Education position at San Dieguito Union High School District?
Substitute Instructional Assistants - Special Education and/or Instructional Assistants/Personal Care Assistants assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction and care to individual or small groups of students. Substitute assignments are throughout district at middle and high schools in Special Education classrooms. Typical assignments are 5.5 or 6 hours per day. Per Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), must pass the District's multiple choice exam which is designed to assess reading, writing and math competencies. Passing score is 70%. Applicants who have an A.A. degree or higher may qualify via the degree.
Must pass a drug, alcohol and tuberculin skin test as well as a fingerprint/background check.
