We are a Skilled Nursing Facility seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team!
The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees all aspects of the housekeeping services for the facility, supervises work activities of housekeeping and laundry personnel, and assists in providing a clean, safe, dignified, happy and healthy environment for residents by performing the following duties.
Shift time: 8A TO 4:30PM
Shift Schedule: MUST BE FLEXIBLE
Housekeeping Supervisor Requirements
- Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Faccility
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including Booster(s)
Housekeeping Supervisor Responsibilities
- Complies with the facility’s attendance policy requiring regular, reliable, and punctual attendance
- Keeps inventory of all linens, housecleaning chemical, chemical labels, and other supplies. Orders all supplies on a monthly basis or as needed.
- Responsible for filling in as needed for any housekeeper who may be on vacation or absent from work.
- Assures housekeeping equipment is properly maintained; including, but not limited to making sure all spray bottles, containers, etc., are properly labeled.
- Assigns housekeepers’ duties on a regular basis and monitors the assignments to ensure that they are completed as requested.
- Checks all common areas daily for cleanliness.
- Verifies rooms for new admissions are set, neat, and clean as requested.
- Supervises and trains housekeeping and laundry staff.
- Provides support and supervises laundering of all facility linen and personal clothing.
- Monitors the proper use of chemicals and other materials used for housekeeping procedures to comply with OSHA regulations.
- Maintains current MSDS for all chemicals in the department.
- Establishes standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff. Inspects work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards.
- Plans and posts work schedules to ensure adequate service.
- Investigates complaints about service and equipment, and take corrective action.
- Maintains records of departmental activities as required.
- Recommends changes that could improve service and increase operational efficiency.
- Arranges for or provides training for personnel as it relates to the safety needs of the facility. Ensures all operational and safety procedures are properly followed.
- Stages model and vacant rooms for tours by potential residents.
- Maintains roster of outside contractors who may be needed for special jobs.
- Provides support services to other areas of the building as needed.
- Notifies managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- If necessary, cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
- Any other assignments as directed by the Administrator
Pay Scale:
Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
