In this role, you’ll help bring our food vision to life by preparing high-quality, consistent dishes and maintaining a clean, efficient kitchen environment. We're looking for team players who take pride in their work and are excited to grow with a company that's passionate about food and people.
Job Summary
The Line Cook is responsible for executing menu items to recipe standards, maintaining cleanliness and food safety, and contributing to a positive kitchen culture. You’ll work closely with fellow kitchen staff, front-of-house teammates, and management to ensure seamless service and delicious guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and plate menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
- Ensure consistency, quality, and timing on all food orders
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen station throughout the shift
- Accurately label, date, and rotate ingredients using FIFO (first in, first out) methods
- Assist with food prep, inventory organization, and ingredient management
- Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with team members and managers
- Be cross-trained in register and barista stations to support the team when needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a café, restaurant, or food service kitchen
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks at once
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork
- Must be available to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred:
- Experience with Mexican or Latin-inspired cuisine
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
- Familiarity with prep lists, checklists, and line efficiency practices
Pay
- $18.00 an hour tips
