The Business Strategy & Analytics Analyst assists in bringing data-driven insights to strategic decisions in the organization. They are responsible for assisting the financial modeling of strategic decisions and driving progress and growth in ongoing business initiatives. The analyst will participate in stakeholder meetings, make financial models, and produce findings for presentations to advance the 49ers organizational goals: to build the 49ers brand, to improve our fans’ experience, to enhance collaboration amongst our departments, and to maximize efficiency while driving revenue.
The role is likely to focus on corporate partnership sales and activation. The analyst will work closely with the partnerships team to study fan demographics, market trends, and strategic opportunities that enhance and grow the value of the 49ers and its corporate partner brands. In addition, they will provide key support of domestic and international sales and strategy efforts.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepares organization stakeholders for external meetings with prospective and current partners to communicate solutions, insights, data, and other relevant performance metrics.
- Develops and leads presentations to present findings and recommendations to all stakeholders, including ownership, executive management, and third parties.
- Drives progress on new or ongoing initiatives by establishing progress-oriented meetings (setting agenda items, leading discussions, sending recaps with action items assigned to individual owners, and following up as needed).
- Collaborates with internal teams (BSA, partnerships, marketing) and external partners to drive business growth, manage partner campaigns, research brand categories, and develop solution-based storytelling.
- Collects and synthesizes financial, operational, and performance data from various sources, including 49ers colleagues, external partners, and data vendors, to create partner recaps and new business presentations that drive sustainable partnership growth.
- Researches the competitive landscape, analyzes key market, customer, and product trends, and conducts rigorous market and financial analyses to provide detailed recommendations on growth opportunities, partnership pitches, resource allocation, and strategic initiatives.
- Assists with overall CRM asset management and internal reporting insights.
- Uncovers new partnership sales opportunities from key strategic categories.
- Develops holistic and strategic campaigns that are presented to new and existing brands.
- Creates efficient workflows and improved processes between departments (BSA, finance, marketing, etc) that involve partnership-related workflows.
- Assists with strategic internal & external projects such as fan surveys and other digital brand communications and campaigns.

Required Abilities and Skills:

Education and Experience:
- At least 2-3 years of management consulting, investment banking, or as a team leader is a plus; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in brand, sports, and strategic partnerships insights and solutions is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Suite including advanced Excel (financial modeling / forecasting), Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
- Experience with Google Suite (Slides, Drive, Docs, Forms, etc.)
- Experience with software/solutions such as Nielsen, YouGov, Trajektory is a plus
- Experience with data visualization (Tableau) is a plus
- Experience with database queries (SQL) is a plus
