Position Overview :
The pharmacist is a vital patient care position within a non-profit organization that provides HIV and sexual health services. This role requires a committed and compassionate individual to provide per diem pharmacy services, including PrEP and HIV therapy.
The pharmacist will report to the Pharmacist in Charge to provide clinically appropriate and effective care to our clients, while minimizing barriers to access. Additionally, they will manage resources, follow federal and state regulations, and support organization initiatives. This position will provide pharmacist coverage for PTO, vacations, and as needed.
Essential Duties :
- Oversee medication dispensing and accurate fulfillment of prescriptions.
- Provide medication counseling on PrEP, nPEP, and DoxyPEP, and all prescriptions dispensed by the pharmacy.
- Engage clients in understanding and being an active partner in their medication therapy.
- Collaborate with health and care teams to optimize adherence and wellness.
- Comply with CA Board of Pharmacy and all regulatory agency standards.
