Trans Thrive is the first of its kind stand-alone facility in San Francisco creating safe spaces, events and services for the entire trans/GNC community, including: case management; medical services (Primary Care, HRT and Needle Exchange), mental health and substance use support; social groups and special events; and a drop-in center with snacks, refreshments, a clothing closet, and a computer lab. The California Reducing Disparity Project (CRDP) is a statewide policy initiative to identity solutions for historically unserved, underserved, and inappropriately served communities.
Role Summary:
The CRDP Program Coordinator will support the California Reducing Disparities Project (CRDP), under direction of the CRDP Program Manager. The Program Coordinator will oversee and implement CRDP activities, including: 1) community-centered programming to promote client wellness, 2) accessible drop-in support for trans and gender expansive communities in San Francisco, and 3) evaluation and reporting activities to support ongoing learning. The Coordinator will also be responsible for data collection, contributing to grant reports, and maintaining relationships with other CRDP staff, technical assistance providers, and the Office of Health Equity. This position reports to the CRDP Program Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement CRDP Phase 2 extension activities, in partnership with CRDP Program Manager. The Program Coordinator will provide ongoing administrative and logistical support, in addition to planning and leading activities for Trans Thrive clients. They will ensure tasks are completed on time and attend mandatory meetings with the CRDP Contract Manager, CBA provider, project evaluator, and staff.
- Be a productive member of the dynamic CRDP team, including implementing direction from the CRDP Program Manager and attending weekly supervision, monthly project meetings, and other huddles or required meetings as necessary.
- Ensure accurate data collection and timely submission of documents.
- Contribute to positive staff morale
- Participate in state and local evaluation activities (includes collecting data via surveys, following all confidentiality and data security requirements, and contributing to evaluation projects).
- Collaborate with other teams within SFCHC or partner organizations as appropriate to support agency goals.
- Conduct community outreach and recruitment of participants throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Support Trans Thrive’s social media, recruitment, and online social networking as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Project management and team leadership experience
- Engaged community member who has some experiences working with transgender and gender expansive communities in San Francisco
- Committed to antiracism, harm reduction, and centering clients
- Strong teamwork skills, including proactive communication, excellent listening, accountability, and willingness to learn
- Detail-oriented and willing to learn evaluation-related skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including accessing the internet
- Ability sit and/or stand for extended periods throughout the day
- Occasional agency-funded travel within and outside of California
- Proof of up-to-date vaccinations, including 2024 COVID-19 booster and seasonal flu vaccine.
- Proof of TB clearance (issued within the past 12 months).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with administrative and/or research tasks
- Experience with graphic design and creating fliers
- Strong writing skills
