We are searching for a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator
POSITION SUMMARY : The primary purpose of this position is to keep the facility in compliance with State and Federal regulations as wee as lead and manage Facility staff using available resources to ensure facility staff are competent, qualified, and function within legal, regulatory and company business objectives.

We are looking for an experienced Licensed Nursing Home Administrator to join our dynamic team and lead the facility to continued success.
Job Description :
The Licensed Nursing Home Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and maintaining high standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the facility and keep the organization on track for its long-term goals and mission
- Coordinate and provide leadership to each clinical, managerial, and custodial team, and ensure that they work together effectively
- Hire (and fire) staff and employees at every level
- Ensure the facility operates in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure residents’ individual care plans are being followed
- Provide regular safety and compliance training
- Create and maintain a budget
- Oversee billing and set fees
- Act as the ‘face’ of the organization to the governing board, the public, and residents’ families; and as a liaison between staff, residents, and families
Given the 24 / 7 nature of nursing homes, Nursing Home Administrators often work non-standard hours, and / or more than forty hours per week, and may be on-call on nights, weekends, and holidays. The Nursing Home Administrator role requires little to no clinical work. Most time is spent interacting with residents, families, and staff, or in meetings, and requires excellent skills in time and stress management, a calm, patient, and professional demeanor, and deep understanding of both the clinical and business aspects of running an acute care or nursing facility.
The minimum educational requirement for Nursing Home Administrator jobs is a Bachelor’s of Science degree from an accredited college or university. However, most Nursing Home Administrators have a Master’s of Health Administration (MHA) or a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) in healthcare management. State licensure is also required. Qualified candidates for Nursing Home Administrator positions are those with years of experience in the senior living, nursing home, or healthcare fields, and who have specialized training in the areas of health and gerontology.
