If so, consider being the Bilingual Community Support Coordinator for the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank. Join our friendly, collaborative, and hardworking programs team, reporting to the Pop-up Supervisor. The Bilingual Community Support Coordinator is responsible for providing onsite support at our Pop-up Pantry distributions.

What You Would Be Accountable for:
The Bilingual Community Support Coordinator will be responsible for the following key pieces of work:
- Program implementation: site set up, product receipt, operation, and clean-up.
- Volunteer management: train, assign roles and ensure best practices are being followed.
- Site environment: distributions are welcoming and provide a positive experience for everyone.
What You Would Be Doing Right Now:
- Provide onsite support at our Pop-up Pantry distributions by overseeing one of the following efforts: bag assembly, crew management, grocery distribution, or participant support.
- Complete administrative responsibilities, including communicating pertinent information to team members. • Attend and engage in team meetings and training.
- Represent the Food Bank in the community by engaging with participants, volunteers, partners, and community members.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
What Else You Should Know:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Fluency in Cantonese required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working/volunteering directly with clients and/or community engagement work is a plus.

- Ability to multi-task.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to work outdoors in all kinds of weather.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is set in a hybrid environment: outdoor sites in San Francisco and Marin Counties, office, home. The physical and environmental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift 50 pounds on a repetitive basis and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, and pivot.
POSITION COVERD BY OPEIU LOCAL 29 BARGAINING UNIT.
SALARY The position is a fixed-term union role expected to end in June 2025. The starting salary for this position ranges from $32.31-$33.31, with exact salary depending on experience.
